In Amnesia there are no Character Classes or even set skills or attributes.
The only thing like that is Personality Type. We will be using the Keirsey Temperaments and Types as guide for behavior. Like other Background cards, these can be used to affect various Draws in the game (combat, challenges, etc..). It will behoove you to read up on the personality, and be able to mention how your Type should be advantaged in any particular scenario. Once per Scene you can apply your Type. Once per Session, you can apply your Temperament.
Ex. Suppose Jacob is an Architect type. One of the facets of Architects is an insatiable curiosity. If Jacob is scouting ahead of the group, once per scene he can apply his Architect background card in place of his Draw for perception.
Ex. Deirdre has an Artisan Temperament. Artisans value freedom. Having been locked up in a jail cell, Deirdre gets tired of it, and can play her Artisan card in place of her Draw when picking a lock. She can only do this once per Session though.
